MEMBER TESTIMONIALS

"Having the Privilege of serving at all levels of Farm Bureau has been one of the greatest honors of my life. From the neighbor across the fence checking in on you, to the friends you talk with regularly from around the state, or even connections you have made nationwide, life truly is about relationships. There’s not another organization that brings all different facets of agriculture under one umbrella. “Relationships” that’s why I’m Farm Bureau. "

Chad Schutz, Greene County Farm Bureau

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

1 / FB ACT

When you join FB ACT, we’ll call on you to act when it is most necessary. You’ll be asked to contact your elected officials or submit a comment into a federal docket on key ag issues. FB ACT allows you to act whenever and wherever you’re ready. Whether it’s from the cab of the combine, or in between farm chores, your voice matters and joining FB ACT will make sure it is heard.

2 / JOIN ONE OF OUR COMMITTEES

Another way to get involved is to join one of our committees whether it be the women's committee, marketing, legislative, young leaders, special programs, and more. This allows you to have a say in our programming and participate in available events and programs offered by the Illinois Farm Bureau as well.

3 / VOICE YOUR CONCERNS

Your county Farm Bureau has many resources to help our members with an array of topics whether it be navigating solar leases, rules of the road, wildlife concerns, local government issues, and much more. To get help on these issues, discuss them with the county Farm Bureau staff or board members to get your concerns addressed. Examples where we have helped members in our county who have came to us recently include: started the Raccoon Roundup, help with property tax/farmland assessment questions, forming a committee to gather information on city projects that affect rural residents, and much more.
